Job Description
This role will lead the process of defining and driving the roadmap for the OpenX product line focused on providing publishers & app developers with a monetization solution. A key area of focus includes the integration and management of ad networks in the OpenX platform. This includes managing the data systems connecting OpenX to the various ad network partners, as well as improving the decision engine that powers the product line. Another major focus area includes streamlining the internal operational support for the different business processes and cross-functional teams within OpenX that support this product line. This role will drive new systems, tools and capabilities to different functional groups across OpenX globally. This position will have a significant impact on our business and requires someone who is up for the challenge.
Key Responsibilities
Define long term vision and clear strategy based on solid understanding of customer needs, strength of competition, growth opportunities and OpenX ability to execute
Develop a deep understanding of the needs and business objectives of internal and external stakeholders, and engage at a detailed technical level to derive product requirements
Evaluate opportunities, design solutions based on analysis, and work with different internal teams to implement solutions and iterate
Drive feature prioritization, process improvements, and product requirements to improve product effectiveness and usability over time
Ensure that your vision is aligned with that of the company at large by regularly working with department heads
Interact with various levels of personnel from C-level managers down to functional business users as well other product and development teams
Contribute thought leadership pieces e.g. blogs or articles; represents OpenX on industry standard boards; engages with customers and partners at a strategic level
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate is a passionate product leader, who is both detail oriented and customer oriented with experience building workflow solutions and complex, highly integrated software solutions
7+ years of experience in a product management role, with a successful track record of designing, building and launching products with real business impact
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues in a concise and understandable manner to non subject matter experts, both verbally and in writing
Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail with proven experience managing multiple projects to successful completion
Has experience with negotiating conflicting objectives and creating alignment across functional teams
Knowledge of display advertising technology is preferred, specifically ad serving and/or monetization systems
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science or engineering)
