We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Customer Marketing to lead our global B2B customer marketing efforts for Udemy for Business. In the last few years we’ve experienced tremendous growth and we’re looking to bring on a marketing leader that can take our customer marketing strategy to the next level of scale and performance.
The Director of Customer Marketing will build and lead a world-class team of marketers across customer marketing, community, and events marketing. This person has mastered translating customer insights and feedback into action. Reporting into the VP of Marketing, they will drive strategy, integrated business planning, and deliver the best level of service to accelerate the business. This person will collaborate cross functionally with the Sales, Customer Success, Product, Research, Design, and Brand teams to deliver world-class customer marketing programs that drive brand health, customer acquisition, engagement, and loyalty.

This role is based in San Francisco and will include some travel, both domestic and international.
Responsibilities:
Unify our events marketing programs with customer strategy to grow and drive a high performing customer marketing organization.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics to assess event success, customer retention/loyalty, customer segments, and marketing programs.
Own and grow upsell opportunities for the business in partnership with the Customer Success and Sales teams.
Build acquisition, nurture, cross sell, retention, and loyalty programs.
Develop a flexible global execution framework and playbook for different customer segments.
Collaborate with product marketing to develop customer stories and advocacy programs.
Continually analyze customer behavior, trends, customer benchmark data, and turn insights into actionable results.
Act as a coach and mentor for other marketing team members.
Provide work direction, guidance and ongoing feedback related to team performance
Qualifications:
10+ years of professional experience with at least 7+ years working in and managing a team in digital marketing, marketing strategy, marketing communications, or customer marketing in a B2C or B2B environment. 4+ years experience managing or overseeing B2B events marketing is a plus.
You have a proven track record of success in senior marketing roles in B2C or B2B organizations.
You possess executive presence, excellent communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to connect customer needs to strategic programs.
You can balance analytical skills and creativity to bring world-class marketing to life.
You’re biased toward action, a great collaborator and a master at making the complex simple.
You're highly organized, results-driven, and accountable, while also holding others accountable to high standards.
You know how to prioritize and drive work independently, working with deadlines in a fast paced environment.
International experience is a plus.
MBA is a plus.
