The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for leading product marketing efforts for the Udemy consumer marketplace to ensure market success for the products we build. The right person for the role will be someone who cares deeply about our customers, learns and understands how we deliver value to them, and is a powerhouse when it comes to execution. This role reports to the SVP of Marketing.
Leading a nimble product marketing team to build and execute the go-to-market strategy for any consumer facing product features that we build to drive awareness, interest, and adoption of product features.
Building messaging and communication strategies that enable the successful adoption of Udemy’s product.
Leading by influence and collaborating with product, marketing and engineering leaders to execute large consumer facing product rollouts.
Partnering with the user research team to form a deep intuitive knowledge of the customer that will effectively inform our communication strategy.
Being an advocate for the customer and participating in the product development process to ensure that what we are building delivers true value to the end user.
Developing the organizational capability to execute product marketing efforts across a variety of geographies.
Building a solid understanding of the competitive landscape, market gaps and opportunities.
Requirements:
5-7 years experience in product marketing at a fast-growing consumer internet startup
Strong track record of delivering against product marketing objectives and KPIs, including product adoption and customer satisfaction
Superb written and verbal communication skills with a deep strength in storytelling
Direct and cross-functional management experience
Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction for go-to-market plans
Highly analytical with strong disposition toward data-based decision making
Proven experience leading, project managing, and executing large multi-faceted projects
