The key market area for this job will be the high performance computing (HPC) market, with the ownership of solution-level product management and virtual ownership of the entire HPC business to grow Dell EMC HPC market share.
Incumbent will lead a small direct and virtual team and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of HPC-oriented solutions well as driving the definition of our future HPC solutions portfolio, providing innovative concept/ideas for intercepting future customer requirements for horizontal and vertical HPC solutions.
The responsibilities for this position include managing a portfolio of HPC solutions, new product investigation, business case development, marketing requirement documents (MRD) creation, technology assessment and planning of future HPC solutions. Willingness to be hands-on with player/coach approach – e.g. being the one that works on the Excel pivot tables, determining drag of storage, creating enablement content, editing blog posts, working with other teams to setup SKUs, and writing the ordering guides while leading the team to meet HPC business goals.

Responsibilities:
HPC Roadmap & business management – building the plan to meet the global market needs and gaining executive approval throughout the process
Responsible for cross-functional management of HPC product(s) or solution(s) through their entire life-cycle to achieve goals.
Responsible for building and leading direct and virtual teams
Responsible for developing product proposals for future HPC offerings
Assess opportunities and competitive offerings to determine how best to define product requirements to enhance customer experience.
Analyzes markets to determine opportunities. Evaluates and adjusts product strategies to respond to competition.
Market and competitive analysis – understanding the market dynamic and defining the right solution to meet market and competitive requirements
Uses technical and industry experience to formulate product/ solution strategies.
Subject Matter Expert for internal and external product events, sales training and partner meetings.
Works across all functional areas, gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and communicating the impact of product/ solution decisions to all stakeholders.
Working with all relevant groups within Dell Technologies (Solutions, Server, Storage, Software, Services)
Create and review HPC solutions content
Qualifications
Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) technologies
Strong understanding of the HPC ecosystem of offerings and ISVs
Prefer 15+ years of experience in classic marketing skills (i.e. Product, Positioning, Pricing, and Promotion).
The candidate would preferably have past or current experience/ working knowledge in strategizing or planning HPC-oriented platforms or solutions.
Must understand technical product concepts to assist engineers in making tradeoff decisions
Must have strong knowledge of IT industry technologies, future trends, and direction, including industry competitors.
Must have business acumen and ability to build business cases and measure success
Must have good organization skills, including the ability to form cross-functional project teams effectively within Dell
Must have excellent communication skills – internal and external to Dell and at all levels of the organization
Bachelor's Degree – required
MBA preferred.
