Director Corporate Communications adidas Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and drive proactive media relations to generate positive coverage for the adidas-Group Lead the development of media strategies and key message platforms; prepare senior management for media interviews and opportunities; and work with the media to shape/influence story coverage Establish and maintain contact with key media targets in India Act as a company spokesperson and respond to media inquiries when necessary Work closely with Corporate Communications team in Global HQ and align to India business needs to deliver consistent messaging Create, maintain and execute crisis management plans when necessary Develop and oversee management of the Corporate PR budget; accountable for executing programs within budget parameters
Establish, develop and utilize effective PR measurement tools Internal Communications leader for India Drive Internal Communications vehicles such as Intranet, announcements, employee meetings, publication of newsletters and company information Liaise with parallel entities in HQ to ensure full communications distribution, coverage and alignment
KPIs:

Produce positive news coverage in India, leveraging our business and marketing success as proof points Minimizing negative media exposure during issues and crises Drive internal communications in an engaging, accurate and timely manner Manage sustainability and CSR programs and activities with proper alignment with global initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to exert influence and have impact in a matrix reporting structure Well-experienced in both the strategic and tactical elements of communications Understanding of all facets of Corporate Communications including Social and Environmental affairs to support business objectives Excellent communicator and superior writing skills Excellent people skills Positive, “can do” attitude, energy and high levels of stamina. Interested in sports. Must display presence, energy and strong strategic thinking skills Able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of PR experience including media relations, event organization, corporate communications and issues management Experience gained with Youth brand / Consumer Products industry is seen as valuable University degree in communication related field; marketing focus a plus Fluency in English
