Director Ads Marketing eBay Brisbane

This executive role will blend strategic thinking with tactical execution of go-to-market strategies to achieve fast customer adoption of eBay Ads solutions. They must navigate the product development organization to bring the customer voice to life while inspiring and enabling the field teams with a compelling value proposition for eBay Ads customers. The leader will be measured on the success and impact of the product marketing, sales enablement and lead generation as it contributes to both the immediate and long term revenue plan.
Responsible for leading the field and product marketing teams, paid and earned media, product and packaging, sales enablement, events and internal comms; in addition overseeing the marketing budget and owning the annual marketing plan. This role reports into the Sr. Director Sales & Marketing based in the Bay Area (Brisbane, CA preferred).

Role Responsibilities

·Develop product marketing strategy and team

·Lead and manage go-to-market strategies and product launch plans

·Lead field marketing efforts with strong focus on cultivating brand partnerships and growing awareness in the market.

·Develop positioning and sales choreography for each of the customer segments (Sellers & Brands)

·Own product launches (go-to-market execution with marketing, business development and product development teams) that align to customer value proposition

·Oversee high impact market opportunities such as eBay owned events as well as industry conference & events.

·Develop, publish and maintain prioritized pipeline of marketing activities

·Partner with eBay product development & product marketing teams to bring the customer voice into the organization.

·Representing eBay as evangelist within the advertising ecosystem. This is ensuring the principles and opportunities of eBay are being clearly articulated, and the marketing platform as a whole is always considered at the senior levels of the agency holding companies, top 200 brand partners and shopper marketing agencies.

·Being a strategic contributor to the business, specifically helping build customer stories and maintaining an eBay Inc. mindset.

Role Requirements

·Candidate will have a minimum of 12+ years of experience in digital advertising and/or ecommerce; 10+ years in a digital marketing role; 3+ years in a search advertising business.

·In addition candidate will have a strong, successive role track record of building creating innovative go-to-market strategies for digital products;

· 6+ years management experience; willing & effective player/coach and proven talent developer.

·BA degree required, advanced degree a plus.

·Very strong written and verbal communication skills; candidate must be able to think creatively, communicate strategically and efficiently, both internally and externally.

·Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

·Proven track record and transferable skill set to replicate success

·Track record of building high performing teams a must.
