As a leader on the Annuities Strategy Team you will:
· Collaborate with Assumptions, Modeling, Valuation, Forecasting, Pricing, and other Annuities partners on inforce management and strategic initiatives
· Analyze projections and propose solutions to multi-dimensional issues
· Develop analytics and innovative approaches for understanding and explaining our business
· Manage a team of actuarial associates
· Coordinate and communicate with Corporate and other functions
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) Designation, FSA preferred. At least seven years Actuarial experience.
• Experience with variable annuity products with living benefit guarantees and fixed annuities preferred
• Experience with multiple actuarial functions (e.g., valuation, forecasting, pricing, hedging, ALM) is a plus
• Knowledge of statutory and GAAP valuation and financial reporting
• Familiarity with actuarial projection systems (e.g., GGY AXIS)
• Strong project and process management skills
• Prior experience leading a team
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to support “big picture” thinking with detailed analysis
• Ability to partner across business and corporate areas and influence business partners at all levels
• Highly motivated, conceptual thinker who can work independently and take a leadership role in a wide variety of assignments
