NVIDIA is looking to hire a leadership position in our Supply Chain Operations org. Ideal candidate will have strategic sourcing and commodity management including electronic, thermal, mechanical and electro-mechanical components used in the Boards and Systems supply chain. This position develops, directs, and influences the global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain through sourcing strategies, supply assurance, component quality, and gross margin improvements.
You will direct the commodity management function in Operations to achieve supply chain and business unit goals. Responsibilities include:
Build cross-functional alignment to identify commodity sourcing strategies with the supply base able of meeting NVIDIA business segment requirements for PCBA and System supply chains
Develop and handle supplier relationships and conduct business reviews that improve suppliers value, performance, and account investments through aligned roadmaps
Negotiates Master Service Agreement, cost reduction strategies and maintains lead-time, cost systems and split of business decisions
Accountable for component supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs that minimize liabilities
Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies and maintaining data integrity to ensure supply resiliency.
Rationalize and reduce the number of components and suppliers to capture synergies and reduce risk due to demand fluctuation
Resolve impediments to production readiness and to support in execution during production
Enable early supplier involvement to bring innovation from the industry to deliver innovation on bold project schedules
Concentrated effort in NPI to achieve industry leading time-to-market, establishing supplier selection criteria, alternative suppliers, qualify new suppliers, own the RFQ process, and drive supplier selection in partnership with Engineering
This Supply Chain Director will be a transformative leader that can develop and deliver improved supply chain capability.
You are a recognized leader with executive contacts throughout the industry and has experience leading commodity teams and handling all supply chain category spend.
This leader demonstrates and encourages strong analytical skills for decisions, is highly collaborative and has technical experience operating within a global supply chain.
You will have successfully transformed a commodity management organization partnering with engineering teams.
The role requires a collaborative individual that empowers their team, someone that accepts clear and direct communication and feedback. This leader is performance-focused and coaches a motivated organization and can work and lead effectively across organizational boundaries, successfully balancing the needs of multiple constituencies both within and outside the organization.
What we need to see:
15+ years supply chain and high-tech industry experience or related field
Extensive Commodity Management experience capturing significant financial value, mitigating high risk areas
Bachelors degree in business, operations or engineering / Masters preferred
Expertise in purchasing practices, cost analytics, and Design for Supply Chain techniques
Extraordinary negotiation skills, leadership in supplier management, contracts, and procurement
Exceptional communications and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives
High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment
Extraordinary leadership skills, business insight, understand market dynamics and ability to lead
Strong social skills, specifically a demonstrated ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic matrix environment
