The Director, Retailer.com is responsible for creating and driving the strategy around the key wholesale partners to drive high growth. He/She will set growth goals, create the vision and strategy by key account and develop the appropriate programs (ads, promo, site takeovers, emails, etc), negotiating with retailer partners, to drive sell through. Responsible for both creating the strategy and executing the sales to meet and exceed goals.
•Develops and implements Retailer.com strategies to drive incremental sales through the channel using all potential elements of the marketing toolkit including but not limited to promotional pricing, samples, unique product offerings, advertisements, and/or placement
•Ensures retailers web and mobile sites ads, promotional, and product presentation meet the marketing vision of the business
•Works with retail customers to resolve any promotional delivery issues on retailers’ sites
•Directs the preparation of retailer proposals, contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures
•Provides consulting aid to the business owner in understanding and utilizing the specific processes to fulfill their business needs and ours
•Team management: One direct report at Associate Manager Level.
Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:
•Collaborates with sales team by acting as liaison between new and existing retailers that sells Shiseido products on their website or mobile sites
•Partners and coordinates with retailers to fulfill promotional programs/projects by engaging appropriate resources needed to meet project timelines and overseeing merchandise presentation amongst retailers are met
•Partners with product and sales forecasting and planning
Financial Accountability (budget/sales etc)
•Ensures Shiseido and retailers follow financial management procedures in developing processes and documentation to manage retailer information
Qualifications & Competencies:
•Bachelor‘s Degree, MBA Preferred
•Minimum 7-9 years ecommerce experience
•5+ years retail sales or merchandising experience required
•Strong strategic thinker and strong collaborator
•Advanced PC based computer skills are required, including knowledge of the internet
•Basic knowledge of HTML coding, CSS, and web and graphics applications; Photoshop
•Knowledge of XML data feeds
•Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
•Excellent negotiator, ability to drive results through relationship building with 6+ wholesale partners
•Strong manager, responsible for growing Assoc Manager
•Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
•Familiarity with Ratings & Reviews best practices, HookLogic (Macy’s).
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and as an individual contributor
•Strong email and online communication skills are required
