Reporting to the Vice President, Business Analytics, the Sr. Director, Business Analytics and Decision Support. You will provide strategic leadership and direction for the business performance data analytics function for the North America Region.
Working with the VP, Business Analytics and Decision Support, the incumbent will establish the overall business analytics strategy and will determine and execute the plan to deliver that strategy in order to ultimately optimize business performance and results in North America which includes determining the best way to address analytics for key business initiatives, and leading the effort to mine, interpret, analyses and explain financial information

This role directs all activities of the data analytics team who are charged with providing accurate, independent and actionable analysis and insights that support enterprise decision making by effectively illustrating the business impact of initiatives within North America.
The position will work closely with senior leaders within the Region including the CFO and members of the RLC to share business analytics results and insights that enable definitive actions which drive profitable results.
Additionally, this position will ensure that analytic outputs from his/her department are incorporated into key KPIs that support on-going business performance and New Business Development efforts.
The role will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to transform and evolve analytics to include outcome-based predictive modelling for key Region initiatives, and for working with Regional Leaders to incorporate this information into their strategic planning & decision making.
The incumbent will ensure that analytic models which meet the Region’s evolving business needs are developed, implemented, maintained, and when necessary retired. This may involve working with information technology or outside resources to ensure optimum support for the business.
The successful candidate will manage 4-5 resources who are charged with delivery of data sets in response to enterprise requests for information to support decision making and assessing and analyzing key enterprise initiatives and their impact on organizational profitability.
Candidates may reside within the United States and Canada within a reasonable commute to a major airport and will be required to travel approximately 20 -30% of the time to Gaithersburg, MD if they do not already live within commuting distance to Sodexo's North American Corporate Headquarters.
The preferred candidate should meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
10 years accounting / finance experience
6 years Sodexo accounting / finance experience
Strong knowledge of Sodexo systems, data and capabilities (including SAP, OBIEE, EDW)
Ability to navigate the organization with a strong web of influence
Strong presentation preparation and delivery skills
Strong communication skills
Project management / six sigma experience
Challenger mind set
Position Summary
Aligned with a Division President or Division Vice President. Managed volume is >$350M or business is highly complex (e.g., reporting an analysis is treated as a separate division, has its own reporting and briefing book, etc.) Manages employees. Manage Capital expenditures and cash flow. Manages cross functional relationships. Provides decision support. Negotiates contracts. Manages total P & L. Works independently with little input from Vice President, Finance. Accountability for the internal control environment and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Basic Management Experience- 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
