We are seeking a seasoned Product and People Operations/HR professional to join our team to build the next generation of commerce. This is a rare opportunity to get in early with a soon-to-be large-scale startup and help as we lay down the foundational elements of a performance culture.
Our Director, People Operations will spearhead a number of initiatives to establish a broad and forward-thinking platform of services for HDS employees, including work on:
Selecting and integrating key systems (e.g. HRIS, Confluence wiki)
Mapping and systemizing foundational programs (e.g. on boarding, values, compensation, recognition)
Brainstorming additional offerings to help make HDS a model for exceptional employee service and support, and garner internal and external recognition as a great place to work.
Experience
You have product savvy — you know how to select and implement technology products — and have proven experience rolling out and managing key company HR programs and systems
You can target a business need, design a solution, spearhead development and launch a product using a combination of technical resources, off-the-shelf technology, makeshift setups and proactive experimentation
You’ve done this before and have a strong POV on what works and what doesn’t in the world of HR
You have a strategic, data-driven approach to your work
You thrive on turning ambiguity and chaos into a coherent and well run plan (with the right balance of process, rigor, innovation and fun)
You have a strong academic background (e.g. a relevant degree from a top school) or equivalent experience in the field
