The ideal candidate for this role will have some digital travel experience, exude positive energy, is analytical, acts with urgency and enjoys interacting with people in order to accomplish work.
Position Overview:
Be the face of Expedia to this partner and work closely with them to collaborate on marketing strategies and product feature implementations to grow revenue.
Be the “CEO” of your account. Earn the trust of your clients by showing smarts and credibility. Manage each account like its own business. Think strategically to grow our partnerships profitably.
Lead strategic/annual planning process to develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones on an ongoing basis.
Gain an understanding of partner profitability and sell new programs, features and functionality. Be well-versed in economic modeling, supported by a finance team. Ability to model yourself a strong plus.
Establish strong relationships around the Expedia organization with people in Partner Operations, Product, Technology, Customer Experience, Finance, Marketing, Revenue Management and others, in order to give our partners what they need and want.
Conduct ongoing communication with partner contacts. Be extremely responsive to their requests as their professional services provider of digital consulting and solutions.
Liaise with the GPS Private Label product team to add customer product development requests onto the roadmap.
Evaluate partner performance via Web Analytics Tools on a regular basis and share performance results with key contacts. Assess merchandising campaign results and make recommendations for improvement.
Present results and new business ideas to senior management within Expedia and to partner senior leaders.
Competencies:
Proven ability to develop long term relationships with both internal and external customers.
Strong analytical skills. Team player but also can lead by influence.
Ability to develop and execute programs on behalf of the partner with a strong eye toward maximizing margin opportunities.
Knowledge of travel industry preferred, previous experience with travel technology products ideal.
Tech-savvy with some ability to communicate technical product features effectively.
Exceptional communication skills; Good PowerPoint and Excel skills required and ability to quickly learn new reporting platforms/software for ongoing reporting and web analytics.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, possess a high degree of flexibility and work well with others in a team capacity.
Works well under pressure and can pivot quickly and easily; Good negotiator.
Experience and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBAs welcomed
Experience website, technology, online marketing, consulting, business development, account management and/or professional services experience. Finance background strong plus.
Consulting or similar experience highly valued
