Media Relations Execution and Oversight: Works closely with network publicity counterparts and Studio publicity team to devise and execute consumer publicity campaigns for assigned scripted series, at launch and beyond. Pitches stories to all external media outlets, including traditional print reporters and critics, electronic media and mainstream online outlets, as well as bloggers. Understands media desires and exercises judgment in deciding which opportunities to pursue, ensuring that Studio objectives are met. Serves as key point person for assigned series, representing the shows to external and internal constituencies and serving as publicity brand manager/one-stop resource for all information related to the programs.
Departmental Leadership: Works closely with EVP and VPs as part of departmental senior team to provide leadership and direction to department, creates growth opportunities for publicity staff.
Talent Relationships: Establishes close working relationships and positive rapport with talent and personnel associated with all series, including executive producers, key production staff/crew and on-camera performers, to achieve global publicity objectives.
Set Visits: Determines best production (or non-production) days for episodic photography (in conjunction with photo publicity team), electronic b-roll and reporter coverage. Covers all set visits to assigned shows by external media as noted above, as well as by internal outlets, such as Studio photographers; EPK crews shooting for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution and/or Warner Bros. Home Entertainment; and more.
Events: Plans and executes assigned series participation in major promotional and publicity events and special projects, including but not limited to domestic and international press junkets, the Television Critics Association’s summer and winter press tours, Comic-Con, SXSW, etc. Works closely with Publicity to ensure all aspects of events are executed according to plan. Works closely with photo team to ensure coordinated and strategic plans for covering special events (milestone episode parties, stunt casting, promotional programming storylines, etc.) for assigned series.
Social Media: Follows best practices strategy for the television publicist for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr and other social media and/or location-based outlets. Works closely with social media team to ensure coordinated outreach on these platforms.
Publicity Assets: Demonstrates good judgment in selecting the most compelling video clips, photos (in conjunction with photo publicity team) and other promotional/publicity materials that fulfill needs of media and best represent the show to viewers and other targeted audiences.
Publicity Trips: Manages all aspects of performer and/or producer publicity trips (New York, Los Angeles, special events, tours, etc.).

Job Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 7 years entertainment publicity experience required.
Previous experience in television required.
Comprehensive knowledge of entertainment industry required.
Experience effectively working with and successfully building positive relationships with high-profile on-camera talent and producers
Must have strong understanding of social media and be an active participant on leading platforms.
Previous experience supervising agency and/or in-house publicity staff preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
Must have the ability to work additional hours as needed.
Must possess exemplary organizational skills.
Must be able to pay close attention to detail and follow through.
Must be able to handle confidential information.
