Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle. Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities & Duties

Leads and manages a team of software product managers to ensure the portfolio of products meets the needs of customers.

Responsible for setting software product strategy, defining software release themes and objectives, developing master project plans, setting the product delivery process and milestones, assisting the development team with any development issues, engaging with customers to explain our product plans and collect inputs, and ultimately ensuring the right software products are delivered to the right customers at the right time.

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience as a product management director at a B2B software company.
Strong understanding and appreciation of metrics, A/B testing and related concepts such as sample sizes and statistical significance.
Strong organizational skills. You run meetings and manage projects effectively.
Strong leadership skills. You know what needs to be done, and you are effective at getting others to help you make it happen.
Strong passion and drive and an entrepreneurial, positive, can-do attitude.
Strong understanding of and appreciation for good design and user experience.
Experience with Agile best practices and the pressures of a regular, short release cycle. You execute with a sense of urgency.
A fast learner who can quickly develop a deep understanding of the market, the product, and the competition.
Excellent communication skills. You can interact effectively with customers and can engage and persuade at the CxO level.
BS in CS or Engineering is preferred and an MBA is helpful.
