Boston Scientific Neuromodulation is currently seeking an exceptional Biostatistics and Data Science Leader to join our winning team. Lead the biostatistics and data analytics/science functions across the Neuromodulation global franchises (Pain Management and Deep Brain Stimulation). Responsible for overseeing statistical design and analysis activities as well as driving data science strategies and initiatives.

Your responsibilities include:

Provides strategic direction on study statistical elements, analytical methods, and endpoints meeting both regulatory and scientific requirements.
Ensures timely and accurate reporting of clinical data to regulatory agencies throughout clinical study life cycle with close cross-functional collaboration.
Interacts with executive level management, regulatory agencies, clinicians and vendors, and coordinates across the organization, including Marketing, HE&R (Health Economics and Reimbursement), Regulatory and Legal, to achieve department and company goals.
Supports the broader Neuromodulation organization, as the top-level statistics subject matter expert, including advisory role to Sr. Management, analytical expertise to other departments, and statistical review in support of business needs.
Provides leadership and direction to drive the evolution of data science competency and contributions with close partnership with IT and R&D. Identify opportunities for innovation by applying data science and analytic methodologies to research and business challenges.
Stays abreast of developments in regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices pertaining to study design, statistical methodology, collection of clinical trial data, and its reporting and dissemination.
Makes and executes operational decisions with a strategic perspective.
Demonstrates effective change leadership.
Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent.

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

Degree – M.S. or Ph.D. in (bio) statistics, applied statistics or applied mathematics.
10+ years of experience in the design, execution, data management, analysis and reporting of clinical trials in a regulated environment.
8+ years’ experience in clinical programs management/biostatistics/data analytics plus 8+ years' management and leadership experience in healthcare industry (medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical), with knowledge of regulatory requirements governing clinical trials.
8+ years’ experience managing projects and working with clinical professionals within a team, as well as working in a cross-functional product development setting.
Experienced in the use of a wide array of data analysis techniques and tools in designing solutions. Demonstrated success in interpreting analytic output and provide strategic recommendations.
Excellent analytical skills. Expertise in statistical and data science principles and methods and the ability to instruct others in these areas.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of statistical software.
