- This individual will be responsible for leading Mastercard’s global benefits business to drive customer value and preference, and to deliver benefits business profitability and revenue growth.
- He/she will spearhead global transformation of existing business leveraging new capabilities and business models and will optimize ongoing management of cardholder benefits and services to deliver world class consumer and Issuer value propositions optimal cardholder experience and to deliver on aggressive Leading With Services revenue generation targets.
- The core benefits this individual will lead are: (1) Airport Lounge and Experiences (2) WiFi (3) Emergency Card Services (4) Assistance Services.
Role
Leadership & Strategy
• Leads all benefit product management and development activities including strategy, plans and product roadmaps
• Manages product/service design, pricing strategy and global GTM strategy
• Leads negotiations with third party providers to obtain favorable business and financial terms and gain economies of scale.
• Ensures ongoing alignment and integration of global and regional benefits strategies, plans, priorities and product roadmaps.
• Global/regional benefits team engagement to ensure strategic cohesiveness, business growth enablement and executional alignment.

Financial
• Manages P&L for cardholder benefits on a global basis in close partnership with Loyalty Solutions regional business leads.
• Drives profitable growth through the creation of new revenue streams.
• Develops and implements effective global product pricing strategies and plans.
Product Management Execution
• Assess evolving consumer needs and opportunities to help assess new product development opportunities
• Monitors product/service performance and solicits customer feedback.
• Identifies, assesses and engages best-in-class benefits providers.
• Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory procedures, information security requirements as well as internal policies and guidelines.
• Ensures overall product performance, quality and service consistency.
• Leads cross-functional teams to achieve roll-out of the products within agreed timeframes, budget and success criteria.
Demonstrate thought-leadership, product/technology development expertise and strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new product and service solutions

Marketing & Sales Support
• Plays key support role in business development and sales efforts.
• Drives the development and execution of global marketing and sales collateral, advertising and promotions to support business growth and expansion.
• Directs research & analysis to identify/assess trends & opportunities.
• Builds capabilities and expertise to address customer needs.
• Deals with senior executives in customer and vendor communities.

• Effectively manages global team. Provides leadership, support and guidance to regional benefits staff.
• Creates an environment that fosters growth and development of staff to build bench strength at all levels in the organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Seasoned leader with extensive experience working in the bankcard industry and/or experience working as a service provider supporting financial institutions with cardholder benefits and enhancements in the areas of concierge, assistance and/or travel services.
• Solid experience managing vendor and strategic partner relationships.
• Significant product management and development experience with an expertise in developing and managing digital first capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and executive presence.
• Excellent financial acumen with a competence in P&L management.
• Self-directed with a proven track record of delivering success.
• Ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong executional focus and complex project management abilities.
• International experience a plus.
