We are currently seeking a Senior Director, Compensation and Benefits to join our dynamic team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ as part of the North American Human Resources Team!

This position is responsible for the oversight, design, and management of the company’s compensation strategy to attract, retain and motivate talent. Provide strategic direction in the development of competitive base and variable pay structures; job classification methodology; merit and incentive programs. Continuous assessment of the company’s programs to ensure innovative compensation solutions through analysis of internal and external market trends that align with the business strategy to drive results. This leader works closely with the HRBP’s HR COE’s, business leaders and the Executive Management team to ensure seamless delivery of programs and will work in collaboration with the Global HR team at Headquarters
Duties and Responsibilities:

Design compensation & benefit plans that are aligned with the company’s business objectives and talent strategy, while ensuring the achievement of consistent and market-driven levels of compensation.
Monitor the effectiveness of the compensation and benefit programs, processes and practices, and recommend revisions to ensure equitable and competitive programs
Conduct analysis of jobs, salaries, variable pay and other rewards in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the pay practices
Design job classification, grading structure, job analysis and evaluation methodology, including market pricing, internal equity review, and pay mix.
Responsible for the annual salary increase/merit program and promotion.
Design, manage and model incentive programs (management, sales, and production) that link pay to performance.
Partner with Finance and business units in setting goals and monitoring performance levels of incentive plans.
Oversee the final incentive award recommendation process to assure alignment with performance, adherence to budgets, and compliance with approvals.
Provide research and analysis of benefit programs and vendor effectiveness to assess cost savings, process improvements and legal requirements to remain competitive and in compliance with health and welfare programs
Lead ongoing benefits strategy assessment, development and implementation
Track and analyze benefit costs compared to budget
Responsible for audits and regulatory filings for the benefit plans
Responsible for managing/supporting vendor relationships of the 401(k), Pension, Payroll and Benefit programs
Responsible for the team that monitors payroll interfaces to ensure compliance and data integrity
Provide thought leadership on current and emerging total compensation trends and issues.
Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and standardize programs and processes.
Benchmark and develop other local or mandatory and discretionary programs
Provide guidance and direction in developing retention plans for key talent.
Manage compensation plans to meet regulatory compliance and governance/audit requirements, consulting with legal resources and staying abreast of developing legislation and its potential impact.
Partner in the design of effective compensation-related communications to managers and employees within the Total Rewards framework.
Manage Compensation and Benefits team.
Requirements

Bachelor degree in HR, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
A Minimum of 15+ years compensation or finance experience; A minimum of 7 years in a leadership role.
Experience in a global company highly desirable
Comfortable dealing with senior management, outside ERISA counsel, vendors, auditors and consultants
Complete understanding and technical expertise of broad based compensation programs, Pension and Benefit Plans
Previous compensation and/or benefit vendor management preferred
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and project management
Proven experience managing a team, providing direction, coaching opportunities, career development, and annual appraisals.
Leads with enthusiasm and positive demeanor to inspire and motivate direct reports, colleagues, department and senior management.
Ability to influence, deliver results and collaborate across functions and teams.
Strong communication, negotiation and listening skills to best ascertain needs and partner to build solutions to address them, while adhering to enterprise strategy and compliance requirements.
Ability to serve as strategic business partner and advisor to senior executive leaders, business leaders and other key stakeholders.
Willingness to be both strategic and tactical. Highly developed analytical skills – ability to define and measure plan performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Proven project management skills to move projects forward; bias for action.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to convey complex concepts.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues.
