We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Marketing to join our marketing team at our headquarters in Fremont, CA. The Director of Marketing reports to the VP of Marketing and will be responsible for managing and helping grow our Jos A Bank and K&G businesses. The Director will be tasked to help define business objectives, target audiences, revenue goals and success metrics for the retail business by working with both internal and external partners that include but are not limted to brand presidents, operations, integrated marketing, merchants, creative, CRM, production, digital, finance and agency partners.
This role will be responsible for working with the VP of Marketing in developing the annual brand strategies, consumer experiences, communication plans, and drafting campaign/creative briefs. The Director will also be responsible for tracking the marketing team activities for both brands to ensure that the execution is on brand and meets business goals/objectives to acquire, engage, convert, build advocacy and that all messaging/creatives are consistent. The ideal candidate will be focused on owning the internal Go-To-Market (GTM) process across all departments to ensure that the strategic marketing plans are followed and on time, as well as working with external agencies to help to define brand positioning, conducting customer and market research, competitive results and analysis.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Responsible for developing annual strategic marketing plans and execution of the business objectives across all formalwear brands including the development of campaign and creative briefs.
• Manage the Marketing Department Budget for both brands. Delivery of all marketing activity within agreed budget. Direction of marketing staff where budgets are delegated. Work with finance on quarterly adjustments.
• Based on customer profiles, help to define brand positioning to maintain a differentiated brand strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
• Monitor marketing plan performance and results to achieve marketing objectives within the designated budgets
• Maintain client relationships – both internal & external partners - to stay aware of changes in the business environment to make recommendations to adjust marketing plans accordingly
• Determine and communicate ongoing and future business requirements, working with Operations, Merchants, Store Design, IT and Sales Training teams to establish priorities
• Specifying market requirements for current and future marketing strategies by conducting market research supported by on-going research with customers and non-customers
• Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities and help to identify ongoing opportunities for market share enhancement, effectiveness, and efficiencies
• Direction and management Brand Managers and Marketing Coordinator in successful project development and execution, including budget management of projects, across all retail brands
• Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications:
• 10+ years of traditional and digital marketing experience; preferably in retail, experience in men’s apparel industry a plus
• Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing communication and brand strategies to meet organizational and brand objectives
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Proven ability to oversee marketing and promotional staff and activities, including schedules, scope and budgets
• Strong leadership, teamwork and leadership management skills, including demonstrated track record of working across functional lines
• Flexibility to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing needs of the business
• Must be an organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong strategic thinking skills; analytical and budgeting skills; oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work in a nationwide team of professionals
• Bachelors’ degree; MBA a plus
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week from the Company’s Fremont, California corporate office with flexibility based on project needs
• Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount frequently to move objects.
