Visa Loyalty and Offers works with merchants, issuers, and third party program providers to develop and deliver loyalty solutions and card-linked offer programs. We are focused on improving our clients’ profitability and incremental performance through deep specialization in product, tailored implementations, and unique insights leveraging Visa’s payment processing data. Overall, this includes product development, sales, business development and strategy, product integration, data solutions, and client management and operations.
This is a leadership role focused on client management, input into the product roadmap, customer reporting and analytics, day-to-day operations, and leading a dedicated merchant account management team. You will work within the Visa Commerce Network (VCN), a team that integrates and promotes card-linked offers for Visa’s top merchants, across various issuers and in-app services. You will be responsible for developing leading-edge solutions that address strategic needs for Visa’s merchants, driving tangible, impactful, and unique results.

This position is at an intermediate professional level and requires strong leadership qualities, client management skills, and analytical abilities. Reporting into the Senior Director of Business Development overseeing all VCN merchant relationships, an ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to move forward despite ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate internal resources to accomplish Visa and merchant objectives, and ensure that the merchant perspective is represented within the organization.
Lead the merchant team in all aspects of merchant sales, implementation, onboarding and tracking, interal operations, and data analysis.
Proactively work with the merchant team to identify strategic opportunities, manage moderately complex assignments that are diverse in scope, and search out appropriate courses of action.
Represent the merchant’s and account management team’s needs in the product roadmap, and provide business requirements and prioritization.
Use platform tools and interfaces to assist in merchant needs such as merchant identification, merchant onboarding, offer creation, and tracking resolution.
Work alongside the Visa data team to accumulate, analyze, organize, and present relevant data and performance results.
Stay current with industry and client trends and maintain a working knowledge of Visa products and services.
In addition to direct team and client management, this role requires the ability to manage cross-client strategic goals, special projects, determining courses of action for card-linked industry initiatives, and driving account management’s goals within diverse, cross-functional groups including legal, privacy, product, analytics, and business development teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus. Requires previous experience (3-5 years) leading a team and managing clients, preferably in the financial services, card-linked, payment card, software or information services industries.
Ability to manage teams and deliverables and to coordinate, work productively with, and demonstrate results to clients and other Visa divisions.
Must be a self-starter with proven abilities in organizational, conceptual, and logical problem solving.
Ability to set priorities and manage customer expectations, and work both as part of a team and independently.
Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to absorb information and data and apply it to business solutions.
Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty.
Ability to lead and influence decisions of others, including senior management.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
Willingness to work with clients and/or other team members outside standard business hours if necessary.
