The Creative Director (CD) leads and oversees off-air projects from conception to delivery for the Fox Sports Marketing group. The CD will be responsible for designing and producing all off-air projects which include print, digital, internet, photo shoots. The CD reports to the VP of Marketing, Rod Chiabai. CDs also develop original concepts and pitches for off-air promo campaigns and works with in-house and out-of-house designers/retouchers to develop key art. The CD is responsible for initiating and overseeing every creative aspect of a print campaign. The CD must also find and develop relationships with outside vendors and agencies.
Originate ideas and concepts, develop pitches, oversee and supervise all aspects of off air and campaign creation including design, visual effects, animation, and graphic applications for original campaigns and promos
Direct work of in-house and out-of-house designers and retouchers
Research and recommend outside vendors, ad agencies, designers, etc
Catalog of appropriate collaborators for us to approach with new work
Research the latest designs and stylized print creative to keep our campaigns fresh and in the forefront of the ad world
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, communication and/or related field.
7 years experience within sports or entertainment field as a Creative Director, Print Advertising Director, Graphic Designer etc. Experience working with or at an advertising agency or network off-air promotions department is a plus.
Good verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required. A passion for designing award winning creative is important.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, Leadership skills a must
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are a must with knowledge of Keynote, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Flash a bonus
Innovative, creative thinker with strong problem solving skills; ability to visualize, create and deliver Ability to coordinate with team members for better output.
Solid high-level graphic designer - will need to see examples of work
Ability to articulate ideas clearly.
Knowledge of the sports industry.
Speed and output will be important.
