At Udemy, we bring together engineers, designers, and business owners from across the company to create products that are usable, intuitive, elegant, and delightful. As our Director of Product - Payments and Platform, you will lead your team to define our strategy for payments, site localization, internal tools, compliance, security and big cross-functional projects like our rebrand.

For this role, we’re seeking an experienced product manager leader who has a proven track record of building great product teams, as well as hands-on product leadership. This role will have three direct reports to start.

Success in this role will require the ability to motivate and collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams. At Udemy, leadership is a function of the strength of your ideas, how clearly you can articulate your thinking, the analysis you bring to the table, and the clarity with which you communicate. Given the varied types of people you will work with, both technical and not, the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, over the phone, on a whiteboard, or on a napkin is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of product managers to drive the strategy and execution related to Udemy’s payment systems, site localization, internal tools, compliance, security and certain large, cross-functional projects that cut across the entire product
Create a clear product vision based on an in-depth understanding of our customers, competitive landscape, and company objectives.
Work closely with our Design and Engineering teams to drive innovation, productivity and quality while iterating on the product until project goals are met
Work closely with finance, marketing and operations and identify key opportunity areas
Tackle ambiguous problems in a structured manner and develop insightful recommendations through exceptional product/customer insight, strategic thinking, and data analysis.
Partner with our analytics team to collect necessary data, analyze, and report on key metrics.
Desired Skills and Experience:

7+ years of building and shipping products that customers love
Strong management skills and previous management experience
Strong technical architectural understanding of mobile and web products.
Experience with one or more of the following: payments, site localization, compliance or security
Proven ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools
Passion about the education space and the problems we are solving
Natural talent for moderating competing ideas and finding creative solutions
Comfortable managing local and remote product and ENG teams (Dublin, Ireland and Ankara, Turkey)
BA / BS required, ideally in a technical field
