We are looking for a talented and driven director of engineering to lead our core Network Management product development. The Network Management engineering team is responsible for developing Network Management products for HPE Aruba’s Wired and Wireless customers.
This team is a global team of developers and testers working on new feature development and product sustenance.
Working closely with other functional groups to define features, priorities, direction and timelines
Drive and lead technical architecture of NMS platform software ensuring performance, scalability, high availability, security and rapid infrastructure support
Communicating clearly and honestly with stakeholders about progress, roadblocks, and timelines
Recruiting, mentoring, and leading a team of talented managers, technical leads and engineers
Handling day-to-day management tasks such as performance reviews, time off, HR Coordination
Required Qualifications
15+ years of software engineering experience.
8+ years of experience in people management of highly skilled software teams
Experience managing 30+ engineers and managing first level managers
5+ years of experience developing database-backed applications using Postgres or equivalent Enterprise class database
5+ years of experience developing platform software for distributed web scale applications.
2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Mongo DB
Solid understanding of Internet protocol concepts (IP, TCP, SSL / TLS, HTTP, DNS).
Education: MS in CS or EE ( or equivalent )

Knowledge of standard and repeatable software engineering practices.
Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies
Knowledge of Distributed Systems, Databases, Networking, Big Data Systems.
