The Issuing, Tokenization, and Next Gen payments organization is responsible for product strategy and development of Issuing and Tokenization platforms. Product Managers in this team work with various internal and external partners globally in rolling out tokenization solutions, NFC payment solutions, and EMV Dual Interface cards. They collaborate with internal risk and operations teams in defining effective risk mitigation strategies. They collaborate with Consumer and Merchant product groups in defining the ideal payment experiences. They guide internal engineering and operations groups in software development, deployment, and testing. This organization represents the Center of Excellence @ PayPal for all matters related to Issuing, Tokenization, and EMV.
Team management and leadership: Hire, educate, train and motivate product managers to deliver against the key strategies and initiatives.
Be the technical guru on issuance platforms including payment processing, risk, and operations on a global scale and help shape the next generation issuance platforms within PayPal.
Design and build a robust issuance platform that works across 20+ countries and supports 200M+ card holders.
Drive strategy and execution across the company by collaborating with Product, Technology, Risk, Legal, and Operations.
As needed represent the company at external discussions, conferences, and industry events.
Job Requirements
Ten or more years of relevant experience in payments or banking with significant experience in Issuing in an EMV world.
The ideal candidate has the following subject matter expertise: - Deep knowledge of Issuing Platforms and emerging Tokenization systems. Risk Management processes and strategies for Issuing is a major plus. Knowledge of NFC, HCE is a major plus.
Hands on experience with Debit and Prepaid issuance platforms is a must.
Prior experience building processing systems that connect directly to the major networks is a major plus.
Prior experience with issuing outside US is highly desirable.
Core skill set requirements are as follows: product management, people management, analytical, financial, strategic planning, leadership, project management and execution, communication with diverse audiences and stakeholders, (written, verbal, and oral).
The candidate should bring a high level of enthusiasm and the ability to organize large groups with disparate objectives.
Travel required; around 20% of the time.
