The PayPal Consumer Experiences & Platform team is looking for a talented, creative, and passionate product management leader to focus on building a world class experiences platform. As a self-motivated and enthusiastic member of our team, you will work with extremely talented peers in a fun environment building performant, efficient, highly scalable, configurable and available systems. You will work in an agile environment with a focus on improving reliability/scalability and influencing platform roadmaps in response to changes in our ecosystem.
Be a critical thought leader and execution partner in shaping the overall platform product strategy
Responsible for articulating and maintaining the platform product roadmaps
Build a customer-centric platform that can be leveraged across all channels
Collaborate with other product managers, architects and engineers to deliver roadmap items: lead the definition of the roadmap item and manage the delivery and adoption for business value
Responsible for ensuring well-defined operational process for the feature: monitoring of performance and feedback loop through analytics
Passionate about low latency systems and acumen towards configurability of the platforms
Participate in architecture discussions, regularly propose and discuss solutions to system and product changes
Mentor a team of platform product managers
Job Requirements:
Proven track record in leading the delivery of highly available, scalable platforms on time
Proven ability to build and iterate on platforms that provide a consistent architecture across all channels
Ability to conceptualize big picture and then break it down to an executable roadmap
Ability to collaborate across geographical areas and cross functional teams
Appetite for continuously learning and challenging yourself
Exposure to Agile Methodologies
Excellent Communication Skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of prior, demonstrable experience in product management in platforms space
