What You'll Do
Design, develop and implement global benefits programs to support company, business unit or functional objectives.
Analyze, plan and administer global benefits programs (including vacation, holiday, sick pay, unemployment, retirement plans, disability, flexible spending, service awards, service awards, group health/medical/ dental coverage, life insurance, etc).
Negotiate coverage, services and costs with carriers and brokers; manage program vendors
Ensure company compliance with Federal and state laws, and applicable jurisdictions
Maintain working knowledge of legislation which may affect benefit policies
Oversee the support and compliance with all internal and external audit requirements, benefit programs, 401(k) and internal SOX auditing
Interact with others in areas, such as the risk management or legal departments, to investigate innovative programs (e.g., self-insurance) to determine feasibility in terms of cost, risk to the company, and legal implications
Manage Expatriate Administration, including program and policy design and administration
Provide consultation to HRBPs and management/other staff members regarding all benefits issues
Communicate programs and facilitate training employees in benefits offerings, systems and processes
Develop and maintain relationships with competitors; maintain an on‑going awareness of competitive practices
Select, develop and evaluate personnel maximize effectiveness of Benefits function
Work on related projects and/or assignments as required
Your Background and Credentials
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience plus 10 years' progressive experience in the benefits field
Demonsrated experience in the design, development, analysis, management of benefits programs
Experience managing Expat programs
Expert knowledge of local and international global benefits principles, legislation and practices
CEBS, GPHR, or other certifications an asset
Experience in a fast-paced, global, matrix organization
Demonstrated program management and vendor management skills
Strong financial, analytical and auditing skills
Excellent verbal and written communications
Demonstrated team leadership skills
Ability to multi-task and work with all levels of the organizations
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HRIS
