Who You are:
You are a strategic and practical sales marketing director, who is used to working with and supporting large global sales organizations, primarily in the world of media. B2B experience is desirable, preferably in a technology environment. You have a deep understanding of how to start with the customer and work backwards, understanding their needs, so that those needs can be translated into new features and programs with our product, sales and editorial (creative) teams. As importantly, you know how to tell a story for sales and clients with clarity.
You know how to get to the heart of these questions and clarify for sales and clients: What is the Getty Images value proposition? How do our product features and services support that value proposition? How can we use our strengths to position ourselves not just against the competition, but as the primary source of images, illustrations and video from clients that range from large multinational corporations, media companies and agencies, who need enterprise solutions, to small start-ups who use creative every day, but may not even have a creative services department?
You know how to collaborate, so that we can make the greatest use of our materials and assets across the globe, but you also inherently understand that in that process, not everyone will be happy all the time (the 80/20 rule applies). You’ve worked across a variety of platforms, and you understand how to create marketing assets and sales materials in print form, deck presentations, video, webinar, email and social media. You’ve managed small, scrappy teams for performance, and you hold people accountable.

You’ve worked with creative of all experience levels, and you know how to get the most done for your dollar, whether that’s using internal creative resources, or small external agencies. You’ve created basic brand architecture and style guidelines, and you’ve used those materials to create deck templates and materials that a global organization can use in a flexible manner.
You’re willing to travel when necessary, but also understand that reasonable budgets will dictate many Webex meetings and conference calls. Finally, your flexible and adaptable – you’re experienced enough to know that having and communicating a clear plan and vision is the best way, but that plans sometimes change based on business conditions.

Your Next Challenge:
• Work with the VP of Brand Communications, global sales and marketing organization to address customer needs
• Build a reasonable internal design and copy team that will first be focused on central sales marketing materials and style guidelines, and then grow to handle email marketing for the global email team that reports into the CMO.
• Participate in sales calls and conversations to understand the needs of our customers. Translate those needs into product features and selection by working with the product development team in Seattle and Calgary, and the creative team in London. Deliver customer based feedback to the product team to have an impact on the product roadmap, providing an external, client driven view.
• Work closely with product management to understand the product roadmap, bring important features to life, and create marketing plans with the digital marketing and email teams, within budget, to support important new product and features. Lead the planning and execution of multiple product marketing plans, including market research, channel strategy and go to market plans
• Act as one of the marketing points of contact for issues related to our brand, use of our logos and marketing materials. Nurture the brand through the entire customer journey, by helping to optimize all customer touch points.
• You will evaluate your team’s performance based on KPIs, and you are comfortable in a metrics driven environment.

What you’ll Need:
• 6+ Years of experience in sales marketing, primarily with a media company
• Experience working in a global, sales driven organization.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, tracking expenses.
• Experienced communicator to all levels of the buisness.
• Strong project/program management skills and experience applying proven product marketing frameworks
• Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to develop strategy, business plans, customer segmentation and market insights.
• Experience working closely with product teams and technology to simplify product and features in meaningful and impactful ways for a sales team, and for clients.

Preferred Qualifications.
• MBA or graduate level degree preferred
• Experience with managing events with the purpose of supporting the brand and sales in a clear and defined manner. Experience with Cannes is desirable.
• Detailed knowledge of Salesforce, and how to maximize tracking, reporting and measurement using Salesforce.
