The Global Payments organization is looking for an experienced Business Development expert to lead our Payments Partnerships team. Reporting to the VP of Global Payments, the successful candidate will set partnership strategy, develop key relationships, negotiate contractual agreements and successful financial terms. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record with external B2B business development and deal sourcing. They will have an entrepreneurial spirit, work independently and have a willingness to travel.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Develop partner strategy and approach for the Global Payments organization
• Surface areas for partnership opportunity and identify target partners
• Develop economic models and targets for revenue share as well as fee-based solutions
• Set priority and sequencing for key deals
• Develop and administer operating model and establish KPIs for partnerships
• Monitor partner KPIs and develop mechanisms for accountability
• Areas of focus include card issuing, insurance/warranties, buyer and seller financing, card brands and payments processing deals
• Manage, measure and report the success of each partnership
• Define and execute alliance business plans in collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing and services teams to jointly develop and deliver solutions
• Establish and develop senior executive relationships with alliances, generating interest in eBay offerings

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bachelors or Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Management or closely related discipline
12 to 15 years of progressive experience in Business Development, Payments experience strongly preferred
Experience proposing, defining and leading executive level strategy and business development initiatives
Prior track record of influencing innovation within a partner ecosystem with either solutions and/or programs that have demonstrated success
A passion for business development and closing the deal
Executive level business judgment, leadership, influencing and communication skills, including experience presenting to industry and leadership audiences.
Track record of successful negotiation and contract management experience
