Gartner is seeking an analyst to provide research and advice for digital marketing leaders in the area of Marketing Technology and Emerging Marketing Trends.
*Guide and support marketers who are selecting new marketing technologies, or optimizing their existing marketing technology investments. This can range from helping define RFPs, helping them understand areas of technology overlap or gaps, or the process of how to rationalize from multiple systems to one (or few).
*Support marketers seeking external martech services, including how / when to engage partners / providers, or how to work with internal IT counterparts to implement or manage technology effectively.
*Direct marketers looking to define marketing technology leadership roles in the organization, including where marketing technology leadership reports, how to hire marketing technology capabilities, and job descriptions.
*Advise marketers on best practices for leveraging emerging trends and technologies to achieve transformative business outcomes. Emerging technologies may support the ability to deliver the right offer, in the right context, via the right channel, using new technology, new ways to reach audiences, through new innovations, or new forms of interaction
*Provide practice and thought leading research in areas of technology that can significantly disrupt current marketing practices, or spur innovation, such as: impact of 3D printing on marketers, the Internet of Things, the impact of behavioral data from product-based digital services or from embedded sensors, or the impact of drones on product delivery (and thus customer experience).
*Offer perspective on innovations within channel categories as well, where new offerings are creating a new vision for marketers, for example: how emerging social networks or mobile commerce innovations with change mobile and social marketing strategies.
*Provide guidance to marketers on how to identify appropriate marketing innovations to try, how to plan and budget for innovation, how to evaluate impacts, and how to maintain an organizational culture friendly to cutting edge tactics.
*Foundational skills include the ability to analyze, write, present and provide advice for Gartner’s senior Marketing and Digital Marketing clients. A depth of experience in digital marketing strategy, design, and execution is expected.
Qualifications
Requirements
*5+ years of experience in areas related to digital marketing
*Experience with core marketing technology, or cutting edge digital technology (through implementation, management or development of such, or deployment of emerging technology in the context of digital marketing programs)
*Undergraduate degree in marketing, technology, business, analytics, UX design or related fields.
*Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
*Ability to explain complex concepts in concise and simple terms
