The director of the FRBA Retail Payment Office (RPO) Risk Management Function (RMF) is responsible for enterprise risk management and business continuity for the national business line responsible for the Check and Automated Clearinghouse retail payments products on behalf of the Federal Reserve System.

The director will manage a team of analytical professionals to coordinate and advance the RPO’s risk management and business continuity programs. Will possess exceptional communications skills and be able to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization and across the Federal Reserve System. In addition to leading the RMF team, this individual will collaborate with all levels of leadership within the RPO and participate in Federal Reserve System and/or payments industry work groups related to risk management and business continuity.
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk and business continuity models, practices and concepts and have experience leading and executing an enterprise risk management and/or business continuity program.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Directs the operations of one or more Bank departments. Ensures compliance with performance and control standards and procedures. Plans operational improvements, resolves operational problems and takes corrective action to ensure effective department operations. Ensures customer service outcomes are achieved and quality measures are met.
Plans for current and future department staffing needs. Trains and develops staff to ensure operational depth and maximum use of strengths and abilities. Recommends salary actions, promotions and other personnel actions, including disciplinary actions and termination under the Bank's progressive discipline policy.
Develops and recommends the operating and capital budgets for the Bank department(s), monitors actual expenditures and explains budget variances. Recommends actions or expenditures to meet operational requirements.
Manages or participates in projects related to Department, Function, District, or System initiatives or administration.
Coordinates implementation of policy, procedure or equipment changes and solves special operations or administrative problems.
Represents the Bank on System Function, or District task forces or subcommittees, make presentations and participate in public relations activities and customer contact programs.
Job Specific Information:
Identify, monitor, evaluate, and report on key organizational risks.
Maintain, advance and execute the RPO Risk Management Program.
Lead the RPO Risk Business Leadership Group (RBLG) and collaborate with all levels of RPO leadership to foster identification, evaluation, remediation and reporting of organization risks.
Serve as the RPO’s central point of contact with Internal Audit.
Coordinate various incident and request response processes for the RPO (e.g. information security incident response process).
Lead and/or participate in organization and System-wide business continuity table top exercises.
Maintain and advance the organization’s Business Continuity Plan.
Maintain an advanced level of expertise in enterprise risk management, control assessment, and business continuity knowledge.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience: Five to eight years preferred

At least five years of experience in audit, risk management, control assessment, business continuity, or a combination

Resourceful, creative, thorough, and collaborative approach to project and analytical work
Ability to manage competing demands and reprioritize work effectively
Retail Payments industry knowledge and experience (preferred)
