The Director of Technology Infrastructure is responsible for all aspects of HBC’s technology infrastructure operations. The Director of Infrastructure provides a secure, compliant, reliable, scalable, flexible, and efficient infrastructure and will direct infrastructure support strategy and operations. The Director of Infrastructure also oversees the day-to-day support of all production and non-production platforms to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the hardware, network, telecommunications services, and information. The Director of Infrastructure ensures that platforms are efficiently utilized, the cost to operate and support the platforms aligns with group and business expectations, and that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met for all platforms (to include, but not limited to PCI-DSS, HIPAA, federal and state security and compliance regulations, etc.). The role also ensures that all customer expectations are met or exceeded by handling requests and problems.
DIRECTOR, ARCHITECTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Leads the HBC IT Infrastructure function in delivering required systems and services to employees, clients, and partners. Coordinates and ensures that quality customer service in the technical support area is provided.
Formulates and maintains long-term technology road map for IT infrastructure, focusing on improvement in terms of security, reliability, cost-performance, and flexibility. Conducts research on projected enhancements in hardware and software, and proposes recommendations to the CIO and HBC leadership.
Proposes annual budget for IT infrastructure and associated labor, and updates quarterly
Provides leadership in creation, testing and support of the enterprise risk-management program for information security, business continuity, and disaster recovery
Approves and oversees infrastructure projects
Serves as a liaison with related Hallmark Corporate teams (IT, Information Security, Audit)
Provides oversight of all HBC infrastructure components including but not limited to servers, storage management, database management, virtualization, networking, communications, recovery management, and threat management
Ensure overall performance and availability of the network, including performance and capacity
Establishes policies, standards, practices, and security measures to assure effective and consistent information management and operations
Ensures security best practices are implemented and revised, as needed, to maintain the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the information stored on and accessed through the network
Manages the HBC Service Desk, which handles problem tickets and service requests from HBC and client users
Optimizes the use of external resources to complement internal capabilities
Prepares and keeps current documentation on all managed systems, including disaster-recovery plans
Responsible for establishing job standards for subordinate staff and evaluating staff in accordance with HBC policy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years of experience leading an IT infrastructure organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree
Data-center background
Software-as-a-Service (Saas) knowledge and experience
Cloud design and migration experience
Experience with structured continuous integration and delivery methodologies and systems
Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting
Knowledge of security issues, crisis management, and business continuity
