The Director of Strategic Development will work on cross-departmental projects and key strategic initiatives for NASCAR. This individual will be responsible for the evaluation and implementation of a broad range of strategic and financial initiatives across the NASCAR industry, along with counseling business divisions on strategic issues and assisting senior leadership in framing the industry's strategic agenda.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide thought leadership across multiple projects simultaneously according to NASCAR’s strategic plan as defined by executive leadership.
Analyze strategic and financial implications of cross departmental strategic initiatives.
Oversee and deliver financial, quantitative and qualitative analytical support across all departments.
Develop materials and presentations to be used in senior management and industry-wide meetings.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of internal and external constituents.
Facilitate the annual business planning process with a focus on developing specific performance metrics and transitioning toward a KPI culture.
Focus on developing relationships at all levels across the organization and within the industry.
Approximate travel required 30%, including some weekend travel.
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and five (5) to eight (8) years related experience in management consulting, strategic planning, or finance; experience from top-tier company/firm(s) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
