This position will work to develop and implement an integrated fundraising to support fundraising efforts across multiple revenue sources and through a variety of vehicles, both on-line and off-line. Working cross-functionally with internal revenue source leaders, marketing/ communications, and external vendors, will develop an integrated fundraising program that improves revenue and donor retention.
Detailed Description
• Develop and implement the core integrated fundraising program including the coordination of on-line and off-line fundraising efforts to increase revenues and donor retention.

• Collaborates with revenue source leaders, marketing/ communication, CRM and event system specialists, data analytics to develop a current, effective, well-rounded, and strategic integrated fundraising program.

• Leads a cross-functional team responsible for identifying and applying industry best practices to inform execution of an integrated fundraising effort.

• Responsible for driving agree-upon key messages and positioning points ensuring consistent messaging and communication across fundraising programs.

• Understands and utilizes database and segmentation strategies, from both internal and external sources, to make informed decisions relative to the integrated fundraising program.

• Develops with assistance of revenue source and stewardship leaders the donor lifecycle and journey as it relates to acquisition, on-boarding, cultivation/ engagement and retention from donors acquired via direct mail, email or online.

• Liaise with direct appeal, integrated fundraising and other vendors on all aspects of contractual services needed to support the integrated fundraising program. This may include, but is not limited to direct mail, on-line giving,

• Interface with Direct Mail/Digital/Planned Giving vendor offering strategic guidance regarding ongoing direct response solicitation and stewardship efforts; offer critique, guidance and influence over vendor efforts, make tactical recommendations regarding scheduling, mail package development, and list selections and share/inform vendor of direct response-related historical learnings - to help drive results.

• Analyze the effectiveness of the integrated fundraising program and make changes as appropriate to optimize revenues raised.

• Stays abreast of integrated fundraising trends and opportunities and deliver new ideas/ concepts to improve programs.

• Serve as liaison/influencer regarding list selections, list extracts for Digital and Planned Giving solicitation and stewardship efforts. Procure required volume of outside mailing list names and create specifications document for IT staff to create necessary internal data (house suppression file) and coordinate acquisition merge/purge with data processing vendor for twice-yearly donor acquisition mailings.

• Liaise with integrated fundraising vendors on all aspects of outbound list rental/exchange efforts, including approving third-party usages, Masterfile updates, managing accounts receivables and maintaining ongoing list exchange balances with each third-party user.

• Serve as email-list-development specialist/support staff for chapters using new national email tool (Marketo).

• Ensure timely and accurate flow (input) of integrated fundraising program transactional data from cashiering vendor into CRM system.

• Responsibility for execution of all Integrated Fundraising donor acknowledgments. Regularly execute ongoing data pulls to ensure of timeliness of donor acknowledgment.

• Manage monthly Integrated Fundraising Program vendor invoice coding, routing and adherence-to-budget.

• Manage and provide customer service to constituents as required from digital email box (‘donorservices@jdrf.org); interface and problem-solve as required.

• Serve as overflow and higher-level constituent customer service staff person. Handle calls and emails as required.

• Generate statistical analysis reports regarding specific and ongoing Integrated Fundraising Program solicitation efforts.

• Provide Integrated Fundraising revenue forecasts and statistics to supervisor and other senior management as required.

• Serve on various Development, Digital, Marketing, IT management work groups as required.

• Demonstrate and support JDRF institutional values, maintain the vision, mission, priorities, and guiding principles of JDRF. Understand the strategic direction and purpose of the Development Department and conform to and promote stated strategies and business needs.

• Establish and maintain departmental and organization wide policies and procedures.

• Ensure that the confidentiality and security of all information under his/her supervision is maintained.

Job Requirements
• Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred.


• 10+ years of relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.



• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, human behavior and performance, and coordination of people and resources.

• In-depth knowledge of integrated fundraising, marketing, customer database structure, use and related functionality.


• Extensive knowledge as a cross-functional team leader and staff manager with a focus on integrated fundraising strategies.


• Proven history of building integrated fundraising programs and associated revenue growth. Detailed knowledge of multiple fundraising channels: e.g. direct mail, telemarketing, ephilanthropy, community giving, and leadership giving,

• In depth knowledge of direct and digital marketing and fundraising systems, CRM systems and analytics platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Effectively multi-task, establishes priorities, and work in a fast paced environment. Highly efficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure.

• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. Demonstrate competency when handling diversified assignments.

• Team player that has the ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. Must develop, maintain, and utilize relationships. Capability to leverage relationships and negotiate agreements.

• Excellent written, oral, and communication skills. Ability for presentation delivery, conveying ideas, and instructing effectively.

• Superior active listening, observation, analytical, and problem recognition and solving skills.
