Pfizer is looking for a Director, Real World Data & Analytics to join our Patient & Health Impact team in our NYC HQ. The Real World Data and Analytics (RWDnA) function in the Patient & Health Impact organization is dedicated to the acquisition and rapid analysis of real-world data (RWD) to address the needs of internal and external stakeholders and identify new opportunities in support of in-line and development compounds at Pfizer. The RWDnA Director role will work cross-functionally and with new and existing vendors, partners, and other external relationships to support and enhance value generation for Pfizer assets using RWD and advanced analytics. Responsibilities
Patient & Health Impact Collaboration:
• Supports access to RWD and analytic capabilities that meet the needs of cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain research/project/query proposals and analytical plans.
• Support shared learnings, advancement of cutting edge methods, and identification of opportunities for optimal use of data and tools across the organization.
• Support horizon scanning for and evaluation of new RWD sources.
• Provide mentorship to more junior colleagues, research assistants, interns.
External Strategic Partnerships:
• Coordinate strategic partnership projects across internal stakeholder groups and support governance meetings/discussions to identify collaboration opportunities.
• Work with key internal stakeholders on seeking and evaluating potential RWDnA partners.
Optimize Use of DataMart:
• Support development of fit-for-purpose solutions to promote the use of RWD for insight generation and decision-making.
• Proactively conduct rapid cycle analyses on internal commercially licensed and publicly available RWD sources.
• Understand standard operating procedures, compliance laws, policies and processes and ensure approaches are in full compliance with all legal requirements.

Qualifications
• Must have either a Master’s (MPH, MSc, MA) or Doctoral (PhD, DrPH, PharmD, MD, or ScD) degree in Health Economics, Public Health/Policy, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Such pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
•Experience working with longitudinal RWD assets (e.g., claims, electronic health records, and/or surveys).
• Experience in the conduct of research, development of product strategies and supporting use of data by the internal cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Customer-facing or consulting experience is a plus.
• Experience in using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python, SPSS, and/or Stata), database query (SQL) or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
• Peer-reviewed publication track record is a plus.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare environment and different health systems, payer provider structures a plus.
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
