Director M&A Integration Samsung NEXT Mountain View

The Integration team is responsible for identifying, evaluating, executing and integrating software and services acquisition opportunities in North America that will accelerate Samsung’s initiatives, along with furthering Samsung’s broad strategic goals.
Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple concurrent integrations
Act as thought leader and advisor to other members of integration team
Work closely with the Acquisitions team to evaluate opportunities and set up transactions for post-close success
Project manage & oversee integration strategy from LOI stage through 100-days post-closing
Collaborate closely with start-up CEOs and Samsung executives on integration planning of potential acquisitions
Identify sources of transaction value with business sponsor and develop plans to capture value post-close
Develop and maintain relationship with key business and functional leads within the company
Contribute to the Strategic Acquisition team’s thought leadership and overall strategy formulation
Define and refine integration process incorporating best practices
Oversee KPI definition and scorecarding process for past acquisitions
Develop & maintain relationships with key functional executives responsible for integration support & execution
Qualifications:

10-15 years of work experience; three (3) plus years of strategy consulting or strategic M&A experience would be preferred
Experience leading cross-functional projects or M&A integration projects (from defining a preliminary integration strategy early in a deal to managing the execution of an integration plan post-close), in particular on talent and tech capability transactions
Experience helping define M&A integration process
Recent focus on the technology sector, and experience with global businesses is plus
Necessary Skills & Attributes:

Strong strategic mindset & understanding of consumer technology, especially software
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Adept at leading discussions with Senior Executives and advocating for support
Excellent project management skills; comfortable managing multiple projects and driving initiatives through a complex organization
Ability to identify core issues quickly and put structure around ambiguity
Ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels
Independent and self-starter
