Director Global Innovation Healthy Aging Pfizer Madison

Reporting to the Healthy Aging & Appearance Lead (Global Wellness organization), the Director of Global Innovation Health Aging will develop the global innovation strategy and pipeline for the Healthy Aging focus areas (Heart, Cognition & Vision) within the Wellness benefit area team. He/She will work to uncover and exploit key consumer insight in order to build & validate differentiated consumer propositions that will span existing, adjacent and white space areas of the portfolio. He/She will ensure global innovation excellence through strong multi-functional and region/market collaboration and through the development of comprehensive guidance and tools for use in go to market activities. He/She acts as primary point of commercial accountability for Heart/Cognition/Vision space.
Responsibilities

• Leads consumer insight efforts to define key focus areas and need states, screen and prioritize new innovation ideas and claims and build winning commercial propositions and innovation pipelines to help maximize the commercial opportunity
• Develops & delivers innovation strategy for Healthy Aging (Heart, Cognition & Vision), clearly calling priorities for development, cadence of innovation activities ranging from upgrades, line extensions and new claims/ benefit areas
• Actively identify, evaluate and purser Business development opportunities s as commercial lead for B
• Responsible for development of commercial toolkits to support new brands, new product line extensions, launch
• Provides recommendation to Benefit Area Lead into resource prioritization across the portfolio by highlighting clear priorities based upon strategic priorities and portfolio metrics
• Leads major innovation bring to market activities by closely working with cross-functional team and regional/local markets
• Gives strategic input to the Benefit Area Lead and Brand Development Lead on affiliate strategic plans on global new products, which help to realize global brand, regional and affiliate commercial objectives
• Develops, supports, and maintains professional relationships with internal and external parties to ensure flow of the innovation

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree, MBA preferred
• 7+ years of Marketing Experience – FMCG/OTC experience is highly desirable; Innovation experience preferred
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• 4-6 years of financial planning experience
• Proven ability to successfully develop new products and apply marketing expertise to drive brand growth
• Proven track record of successful (global) product launches in at least one major country market or region
• Open minded, dare to try new thing and willing to take manageable risks.
• Strong collaboration/relationship-building skills and ability to engage across multiple functions/cultures at a senior level
• Ability to anticipate issues/needs and to work proactively to address them
• Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
• Professional maturity and presence with advanced written and verbal communications skills
• High emotional intelligence and high degree of flexibility and agility
• Able to use sound judgment in ambiguous situations and adapt to constant change

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Be able to travel globally. 1-2 weeks/quarter.
