We are searching for a Director Enterprise Systems – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you will provide overall direction and leadership for the development, implementation, automation, integration and maintenance, of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as well as other Enterprise applications. They will promote consistency and collaboration within the Enterprise application community of users and the technical support team with regard to future enhancements and ongoing production support. They will develop a vision for the future that will enhance productivity, accountability and the interchange of information throughout the IDS to support improved services and accelerate the return of technology investments.
Responsibilities :

Directs the analysis and documentation of strategic and tactical business initiatives, translating and articulate the business' goals and objectives into short & long-term application strategy roadmaps
Plans at a strategic/tactical level and manages the effective use of resources and directs assigned staff to design, develop, maintain, and implement major, highly complex system(s) and/or project(s) supporting the business and/or technology areas
Manages, in conjunction with other leaders, the project approval and selection process and lead Information Services aspects of Integrated Project Teams
Advocates on behalf of the organization to utilize technology to develop and/or redesign the organization's processes
Identifies, plans and leads development and production activities related to the collaboration and integration of Enterprise technologies
Develops solutions by applying accepted processes or is able to create new approaches to leverage technology from abstract information
Coaches, mentors, directs, and manages the performance of others. Hires and terminates as necessary
Ensures that human resources issues such as job descriptions and performance appraisals are appropriately addressed and completed as required
Develops, monitors, and manages project budgets in a fiscally responsible manner that utilizes and allocates funds efficiently and effectively
Performs an ongoing assessment of IT capabilities of employees and contractors and IT performance on behalf of entities across the System


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (a Master’s degree is preferred)
A minimum of 7 years of experience with information/computer technology in a corporate setting
A minimum of 5 years managing personnel and operations in design, development, deployment, and testing of Information Services systems
Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative assessments; evaluate progress and provide guidance on multiple project plans; coordinate initiatives among areas with different needs, communicate effectively both verbally and orally to a variety of audiences; and effectively delegate to and direct others
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing innovative Information Services approaches and adopt practices that foster continuous improvement in Information Services, challenge the status-quo and existing paradigm in formulating and implementing, high quality, timely, and cost-effective Information Services programs
Demonstrates a capacity to recognize value and respect differences across a diverse work force
Broad conceptual understanding of capabilities and direction of application technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of business environment necessary to support assigned systems and/or projects
Knowledge of ERP applications including Oracle, vendor software and hardware markets, contract negotiations, implementation project management, systems integration, and on-going support management
Oversee management of vendor relationship, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements
The candidate must be highly skilled in Data Warehousing, Analytics Reporting and BI architecture lifecycle.
The candidate is expected to have functional knowledge of ETL & Reporting tools, and may work with one or a range of these tools depending on project deliverables and team resourcing.
The candidate must have a proven track record of leading people and determining resources to accomplish projects according to the project timeline to aid enterprise decision.
