Director Enterprise Program Delivery Resource Management Lowe's Companies Mooresville

The principle purpose of the Director, EPD Resource Management is to be responsible for project management resources by assigning appropriate personnel to work efforts/projects, setting direction, managing
team members, establishing training and development plans for staff and defining standards aligned with the Enterprise Program Delivery Center of Excellence. This individual holds team members accountable for performing successfully by utilizing standard program/project management processes, procedures, and standards. Additionally, the role is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and developing project management professionals including, but not limited to, performance management, disciplinary actions and resolution of personnel issues that may arise during projects. In addition, this role will need to manage resources in various time zones and remote locations, i.e., CSC-Wilkesboro, NC, CSC-Kirkland, WA, CSC-Bangalore, India, etc.
The Director, EPD Resource Management will have responsibility for staff delivery on strategic capabilities for the enterprise supporting a variety of business areas and/or technology solutions. The role effectively manages both internal and external resources to achieve organizational goals through direct and indirect staff.


Travel Requirements:

This role requires travel up to 20% of the time within the US, and may include international travel.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures adherence to enterprise program/project management practices

• coordinating formal and informal training
• ensuring key metrics (e.g., deliverables, financials, duration, benefits) are tracked and reported as appropriate
• communicating best practices and feedback to teams, governance committees, senior leadership, and the larger project management community
• focus delivery efforts to accomplish expected customer outcomes
Provides input to communities of practice which set process standards and develop learning curriculums and provide direction for the development and application of formal PM Frameworks
• maintaining a comprehensive understanding of company methodologies, quality standards, and internal and external controls
• leveraging knowledge of industry directions and fostering an environment of continuous improvement to drive framework enhancements

Ensures Project Managers have solid training and direction in appropriately managing mitigation of risk

• analyzing and identifying trigger events
• establishing contingency plans
• anticipating and managing dependencies affected by ongoing changes across programs
• recommending ways to mitigate future risks and influencing senior leadership to take action on these recommendations
Drives the execution of multiple work streams

• identifying customer and operational needs and analyzing resources, costs, and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans

• obtaining and distributing resources, setting standards and measuring progress

• removing obstacles that impact performance; guiding performance and developing contingency plans accordingly

Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders

• building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management
• procuring necessary resources and associated skill-sets required to deliver project objectives; providing training resources to ensure necessary team member development

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field and 8 years of related business or IT experience, including 6+ years of project/program management experience. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

• 5 years of leadership experience with direct report responsibility
• 2 years of experience working closely with senior leadership (VP and above)
Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or related field

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project/program management certification 4 years corporate retail experience
• 2 years’ experience managing multi-channel sourcing models
• 3 years’ experience implementing large, complex programs in a corporate environment
• 3 years’ experience leading projects or programs requiring the integration of technology and business solutions
• 2 years’ experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of project life cycle methodologies (e.g., SDLC, process management, organizational change, operations management)
