Manages and generates new business from new partnership acquisition through direct sales efforts that include personal sales calls as well as attendance to industry conferences and tradeshows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
Identify new opportunities, prospect for new clients, develop and present proposals, negotiate and close agreements, recommend and implement profitable strategies.
Manage and grow the company's sales revenues in the online, supplier and distributor markets in the travel industry from both new and existing clients and new and existing services. This is includes technology companies that facilitate sales for both partners and prospects.
Participate in the development of marketing efforts in the market.
Represent the company at industry functions.
Recommend new products to the product development team that address new and evolving business opportunities.
Close contracts and facilitate implementation of the account as needed to ensure product sales are flowing before transitioning the partnership to an account management team.
May perform other duties as assigned.
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sales or related field or combination of relevant education and work experience.
Five (5) years proven track records of achievement in sales or consulting.
Experience with eCommerce sales or development (technical understanding a plus).
