Senior Manager to join Corporate Strategy team with focus on Competitive Strategy and Emerging Market Technologies and Themes
World class strategic and analytical thinking including excellent ability to flex between big picture thinking, understand and distill complex ideas and analyze data to drive strategic objectives and priorities
Superior communications (verbal, written, PowerPoint) and analysis skills (Excel)
Leadership experience in complex global organizations and cross-functional teams, and a track record of delivering tangible results, both directly and by influence
Deep understanding of new products / technologies and financial services
People motivation and development skills
Appetite to learn and comfortable with ambiguity
Strategy development: Support the development of PayPal’s strategy, and long-term strategic priorities in emerging ecosystem areas
Strategic execution: Drive related strategic projects into the execution phase, partnering with teams across the organization
Financial and data analysis. Lead and take ownership of financial and data analysis in support of strategic objectives.
Thought leadership: Support “research” type engagements to develop and articulate PayPal’s position on long-term strategic issues
Required Qualifications:
Top strategy consulting (e.g. BCG, McKinsey or Bain) or top corporate strategy/innovation/ research anaylst experience, combined with relevant industry experience, is a must
Strategic expertise in at least two of the following areas: banking, payments, retail and online commerce, social networking, social gaming, and mobile
