This is an Account Director position within the Cable MSO sales team. As an Account Director you will be accountable for new sales growth and managing the customer relationship for one of Nokia’s strategic accounts in a key growth segment. Candidate should possess Optical and/ or Fixed Access sales background with strong consultative selling and relationship skills and ability to generate revenue by developing new profitable business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:
• Responsible for new sales growth of Nokia Optical and/ or Fixed Access products and services Cable MSO customers.
• Build and retain position as thought-leader and trusted advisor in account. Develop relationships with customer executives as well as maintain a network of partners and influencers to share information and obtain prospects.
• Provide clear business insight and market knowledge to drive solutions to meet customer’s business objectives.
• Drive customer sales meetings and interactions with all levels of the customer organization.
• Anticipate and identify business needs; develop recommendations; contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Make decisions based on customer’s strategic objectives to drive incremental revenue or operational savings.
• Present proactive solutions and recommendations to customer, management, and/or partners that can benefit customer's needs.
• Apply knowledge of customer’s business, advanced principles, theories and concepts to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.
• 50% travel required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• Demonstrated success selling Optical and/ or Fixed Access solutions in the Cable, Telecommunications or Data Center space.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years previous direct sales experience.
• Consulting and/or services delivery background is encouraged.
• Demonstrated success to build and maintain relationships at executive and working levels both internally and externally.
• Expertise in consultative selling. Capable of leading complex opportunities with multiple stakeholders and work streams. Ability to anticipate and identify business needs; develop recommendations and solutions.
• Broad knowledge of service provider and data center industry.
• A self-starter requiring minimal supervision is crucial.
• A “Get it Done” attitude is critical. Ability to lead within a team environment
• Strong business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success.
• Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes.
Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• Masters degree is desired.
• 5+ years previous experience in Optical and/ or Fixed Access.
• Experience working with/selling to Cable MSO industry is a plus.
• Experience selling and working with/through partners to develop optimal value for customer.
• Possesses ability to acquire an in-depth understanding of Nokia functional area objectives and strategies within first three months on the job.
