The Data Preparation team's mission is to help people prepare and curate data for analysis in Tableau. We are looking to solve our customers' complex data preparation problems on ever-increasing data sets in the cloud, data lake, databases and data warehouses.
Watch: Career Advice Tableau recently announced the development of a new product we’re calling “Project Maestro”. Currently, getting data ready for analysis can be time-consuming. Maestro will make it possible for more people, from IT to business users, to easily prep their data with a direct and visual approach. You’ll instantly see the impact of the joins, unions, and calculations you’ve made, ensuring that you have exactly what you need before jumping into analysis.
We are investing heavily in this area and as a Test Manager you will have a unique opportunity to join a product in early infancy to help shape the technical direction.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include…
Writing code to create, improve and maintain test frameworks and drive UI automation
Making key decisions for framework architecture, test strategy and practices
Analyzing source code to understand areas of risk and complexity to provide optimal test coverage
Helping drive a test culture across the entire company
Leading a team of engineers, mentoring junior engineers
