Provides strategic leadership on policy analysis issues across all subject areas; leads and manages the work of the policy team. Evaluates, analyzes, creates, and shapes government policies that support BIIB product development and uptake in the marketplace. Watch: Career Advice
Monitors the policy environment for salient and emerging issues and determines those of greatest impact to the company; ensures that business areas are informed of government initiatives and/or policies that may present a threat or opportunity to the company’s short and long-term planning objectives; solicits stakeholder input and feedback on key concerns; with stakeholder input, crafts the company policy positions; advocates on behalf of the company with policy makers and through trade associations; provides strategic input and guidance to the organization on the implementation of government policies.
Qualifications 15+ years government policy experience in pharmaceuticals or related health care business
Education Bachelor’s Degree
Graduate Degree strongly preferred
