Senior Business Development Director CBRE New York

CBRE seeks a Senior Director, Business Development, to coordinate business development efforts within the NY Tri-State region. The successful candidate will work closely with brokers, other CBRE verticals, marketing staff and office leadership to coordinate and execute sales initiatives. This individual will track and report on client prospecting activity, independently analyze viability of potential new business targets, and provide target company reports to management. They will be responsible for conducting market research to identify potential clients and industry trends, qualifying clients, and assisting with formation of pursuit strategy.

Maintain log of new business development activities.
Coordinate research on identified new business targets, and assist brokerage team in developing tailored strategies, approaches and materials for targeting these potential clients.
Assess marketing opportunities and target markets, industry research on customers and competitors, generate sales leads, assist in the creation of sales processes, follow-up on sales activity, and conduct formal proposal or presentation management.
Research regional market and national industry trends in order to identify client development opportunities within the local marketplace; work with research team on approach to these opportunities.
Research regional competitors to identify possible opportunities for increasing area profile of the office and its professionals.
Support cross selling of services between departments, practice groups and offices.
Coordinate with the marketing team to prepare appropriate business development collateral.
Gather information from and collaborate with producers regarding membership opportunities in local and regional business and/or trade organizations and community and charitable boards, create affiliations database and maintain data.
Assist with sales management activities including tracking wins/losses and analyzing key sales management metrics.
Responsible for reinforcing Finishing First practices in the local market.
Complete or assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree a plus.
At least two years of related experience is preferred.
Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork.
Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism.
Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results.
Creative and innovative.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals.
