Secure short and long-term profitable business for Ericsson through proactive business development and sales closure with Verizon Headquarters Planning, Maintenance Engineering, and Sourcing, through a thorough and fundamental understanding of the customers’ business, operations and objectives. Actively manage internal resources to deliver efficient and effective end to end solutions allowing seamless transition from sales to operations. Act with authority in order to develop both internal and external relation/s in order to actively contribute to making customers and Ericsson successful.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person will focus on new and existing in building product and service sales opportunities that drive the expansion of the Verizon Wireless Region accounts. This includes the identification, development and successful closure of business opportunities with the relevant Verizon headquarters staff.
Responsible for meeting quarterly and annual revenue and orders booked targets, defining strategic sales plans that position Ericsson to take advantage of customer needs and issues.
As Sales Director, have the ability to lead a team of technical, services and sales resources to identify, develop, and successfully close new business opportunities.
Leads proposal and quotation process.
Develops customer business cases to include business case planning and analysis for business solutions offerings and special opportunities. This includes defining business solution packages determining business value to Ericsson and the customer.
Leads contract negotiations with Verizon Sourcing through entire negotiation process proactively working with the customer defining contract terms and successfully closing the sale.
Leads a Core 3 team (technical, services and sales made up of resources outside of the account team) to address key issues that impact profitability, technical requirements, risks, and ability to meet customer expectations and contract terms.
Provides input to sales forecast activity for area of responsibility including forecasting equipment and service requirements as well as reconciliation of forecasts to actual.
Works with marketing on campaigns to expand sales opportunities with Ericsson customers.
Leverages customer relationships to facilitate the development of new business opportunities.

CORE/CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

Extensive experience in sales, sales support and implementation of in building wireless systems.
Strong foundation in RF and Wi-Fi technologies.
Ability to solve problems on high level business issues.
Strong strategic aptitude.
Must be innovative, solutions oriented, and assertive.
Strong consultative selling and leadership skills.
Access and presentation skills in the boardroom.
Strong Relationship with Verizon Wireless Headquarters staff required
Knowledge and relationships with market level construction trades including electrical, structured cabling and RF engineering companies for Civils and DAS
Knowledge of Verizon Wireless Region services model and pricing required to win business
Job based in Basking Ridge, NJ.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) - 7 years sales experience with quota.
Outstanding customer orientation, with ability to develop strong relationships and a track record of closing business.
Non direct or support Sales experience could also be considered
