Roles and Responsibilities:
Leads and builds a high performing and diverse team of skilled program managers with backgrounds in an engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, Architectural, Network, and Information Technology) in developing standards, business cases and managing complex programs.
Defines best practices for business cases that drive long-term, integrated, cross-business solutions and roadmaps that improve satisfaction, increase performance and mitigate risk.
Leads development of business cases for senior and executive leaders across Microsoft organizations evaluating the business impact of new ideas, requirements, and capabilities.
Applies broad and deep knowledge to develop lean, repeatable, closed-feedback-loop, incubation engine for introduction, monitoring and assessment of new capabilities.
Defines the direction and approach for the intercept and project plan of pilots to prove the business case, overseeing the implementation through completion across Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Integration.
Establishes best practices that set the standard for clear expectations, scope and scale, and minimize redundancy in proactively communicate program progress, issues, risks, constraints and success with key stakeholders.
Defines the approach to measuring performance in both business and technical terms and reporting to all stakeholders, senior leaders, and executives.
Skills and Qualifications:
10+ years delivering complex, executive-profile projects and programs, with a focus on the following disciplines: Data center engineering, delivery and integration; Large-scale technology deployment and integration; Global business planning
5 years of people management experience with history of strong manager feedback and building high performing teams
Experience with datacenter and cloud infrastructure, large-scale engineering, or construction required
Experience using Agile methods and working on complex, integrated platforms preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management preferred.
Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing training/experience, PMP, PgMP and Scrum Master Certifications are a plus
