Video is the key topic for operators across the world today. To support the growth of Nokia’s Video business unit, an open position is for a Business Development Director to join the Business Development team. The role will be responsible for leading pre-sales engagements with customers, with full responsibility for a set of geographically based closely with the Technical Consulting team to define the product and services strategy. The role will be responsible for working closely with the Nokia sales teams, as the knowledgeable business lead for Video solutions, to identify new areas of opportunity in a customer and to drive the sales engagement to closure.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:
To assist the Nokia Sales Teams achieve defined sales goals and revenue targets.
To assist in the production and delivery of RFx responses for commercial positioning
To propose business solutions in response to specific customer requirements.
Support partner activities in relation to video lead and revenue generation.
Ability to generate new business deals by coordinating requirements
Developing and negotiating contracts with customers for Video products and services
Integrating contract requirements with business operations.

Excellent communication skills; oral and written communications to technical, business and executive audiences. Including effective demonstration and presentation techniques.
Strong facilitation skills.
High level of personal motivation, and a positive approach to researching, analyzing and documenting new business opportunities.
Ability to lead the project engagements and use own initiative

Capable of working independently and as part of the project team.
Comfortable with individual responsibility for commercial aspects of key project engagements.
Broad understanding of telecommunication industry technology and processes.
