KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Define the Azure developer experience - With your deep understanding of the needs and challenges that developers are facing today, you will define our differentiated engagement approach vs key competitors to accelerate Microsoft developers’ adoption of the cloud and attract new developers to Azure.
- Showcase our solution - Build, re-purpose or leverage “wow” and “how to” developer content and go to market activities to excite, delight and onboard developers onto the Azure platform.
- Enable and extend the field and community motions - Land our differentiated value prop and hero content in the right go-to-market vehicles and ready our DX field and community members. Build pilots to grow our community both online and offline.
- Change perceptions - Through interactions with influencers, press, communities as well as your own thought-leadership projects.
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure as a development platform. Hands-on with our technology and our competitors’ products. A candidate for this role spends his/her free time playing with the latest technologies, engaging with communities and building apps for fun!
- Passion for developers - This role requires you to KNOW developers, their challenges, how communities work and needs related to application development.
- Lead a team - motivate a team to focus on high impact work to win Azure as THE best development platform for building apps.
- Passion to compete - Be ready to go toe to toe with public and private cloud vendors - and WIN!!
- The ability to work across teams (engineering, marketing, sales and services) to ensure we create and promote the right messages through the right vehicles.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in roles such as technical marketing or sales, evangelism, program management, etc.
- Degree in computer science or related area strongly encouraged.
