As the leader of the Azure Developer Experience Product Marketing team, you’ll be charged with building connected and compelling experiences to attract, engage and enable developers to understand and take advantage of the infinite possibilities of the Azure platform. Your team will own building out our strategy, plan and day-to-day execution for engaging with existing Microsoft developers through 1st party channels like Channel 9, MSDN, Azure Fridays, sandbox experiences, MVAs, etc. and attracting new developers through 3rd party channels like Stackoverfow, Github, YouTube, Reddit, Hacker News, Meetups, etc. You will need to understand and build engagement programs with non-traditional Microsoft communities like OSS and gaming developers. You’ll partner closely with engineering, DX, product marketing, integrated marketing and other teams to build go-to-market activities that drive acquisition and adoption of Azure with developers. You will implement agile marketing plans - creating hypotheses, building minimal viable products, measuring impact and iterating quickly on our marketing efforts to drive development on Azure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Define the Azure developer experience - With your deep understanding of the needs and challenges that developers are facing today, you will define our differentiated engagement approach vs key competitors to accelerate Microsoft developers’ adoption of the cloud and attract new developers to Azure.
- Showcase our solution - Build, re-purpose or leverage “wow” and “how to” developer content and go to market activities to excite, delight and onboard developers onto the Azure platform.
- Enable and extend the field and community motions - Land our differentiated value prop and hero content in the right go-to-market vehicles and ready our DX field and community members. Build pilots to grow our community both online and offline.
- Change perceptions - Through interactions with influencers, press, communities as well as your own thought-leadership projects.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure as a development platform. Hands-on with our technology and our competitors’ products. A candidate for this role spends his/her free time playing with the latest technologies, engaging with communities and building apps for fun!
- Passion for developers - This role requires you to KNOW developers, their challenges, how communities work and needs related to application development.
- Lead a team - motivate a team to focus on high impact work to win Azure as THE best development platform for building apps.
- Passion to compete - Be ready to go toe to toe with public and private cloud vendors - and WIN!!
- The ability to work across teams (engineering, marketing, sales and services) to ensure we create and promote the right messages through the right vehicles.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in roles such as technical marketing or sales, evangelism, program management, etc.
- Degree in computer science or related area strongly encouraged.
