This position is responsible for leading the RNA Generics Finance organization managing $6B+ in generics incentive and rebate payments for the US Pharmaceutical Distribution business for our largest strategic and retail national accounts. Responsibilities include leadership of multiple teams consisting of managers, financial/accounting analysts as well as all forecasting, operational and compliance responsibilities associated with ensuring timely and accurate payments to McKesson customers.
Watch: Career Advice The Director is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial accounting, driving improvements to the rebates and reporting systems/processes, the quality and effectiveness of the internal control structure and a collaborative alignment across multiple customer-facing functions. This role presents and explains results regularly to other key internal stakeholder’s leadership, multiple departments of Finance leadership, Pharma executive team, and to the customer directly.
Position Description
Reviews and provides critical input in contract drafting processes, oversees on-boarding and implementation of new and revised contracts and customer agreements to ensure accurate and timely issuance and reporting of the net price of generics products to our largest customers. Designs procedures and processes for effective and efficient set-up for rebate programs
Ensures customer and compliance with contractual net price, rebate and other incentive terms. Partners directly with Sales, Account and Program Management and participates in creation of rebate and incentive methods and programs.
Conducts sales and customer-facing meetings to ensure high quality on-boarding of new/ renewed customer contracts and clear and accurate regular reviews of customer account results.
Coordinates with IT to design and update technology and automation to optimize efficiency and quality within the Generics Finance function
Collaborates with and reports results and commentary to organizations including Pricing, Accounting, Generics Supplier Finance, FP&A, Sales, Legal, Generics, Brand Rebates and others to coordinate process enhancements and increase use of best practices and efficient approaches to ensure excellence in process
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
8+ years finance or accounting experience including 5+ years managerial experience
Critical Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of finance or accounting experience highly preferred
Advanced analytical skills
Ability to leverage technology to improve operating efficiencies and customer service
Project management skills
Proven success in developing and mentoring managers and associates preferably within a large team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to senior executives
Ability to meet tight critical deadlines and make judgment-based decisions under pressure
Advanced in MS Excel & Intermediate MS Access
Additional Knowledge & Skills
CPA or MBA highly preferred
Public accounting experience highly preferred
Contract review, administration, & interpretation experience
Experience with SQL, financial modeling & reporting desired
