McKesson seeks a strong, experienced and highly motivated individual to lead the Generics Supplier Finance organization. The role will manage US Pharmaceutical’s annual $9B+ in manufacturer incentives and rebates related to generic drug sales within Pharmaceutical Distribution. Processes include Deals Income, Supplier Relations, Failure to Supply penalties and Price Protection and consist of a dynamic group of senior finance managers and skilled financial/accounting analysts in a fast-paced complex environment.
Watch: Career Advice The role is responsible for implementing and overseeing processes, calculations, reporting and driving future state system updates to ensure McKesson’s complete recovery of these critical supplier income streams. This position drives a substantial portion of US Pharma’s EBIT and is responsible for current period financial reporting, accounting compliance, supplier economic evaluations and operational efficiency. The role overseas the monthly reporting and accounting close functions, financial forecasting and trend analytics, contract compliance and identification and resolution of issues. The role coordinates with counterparts in Generics Products/Programs, FP&A, Business Technology, Shared Service Accounting, Pricing and Pharma Operations. The role will perform routine and adhoc duties with goal of improving efficiency and automation through use of technology.

Position Description
Develop and drive strategy and implement actions required to ensure financial processes capture buy-side economics in current environment as well as design of future state
Drive the accuracy, reporting and timeliness of monthly rebates and deliver to McKesson Billing Team for Supplier processing
Align with various finance teams to ensure appropriate coverage of downstream impacts of supplier income (including passthrough economics) and coordinate process enhancements, use of best practices and most efficient approaches to ensure excellence
Comply with Accounting Policies, external audits, SOX requirements and communicate openly and timely with Pharma Controllership function
Coordinate with IT regarding technology improvements - optimize efficiency and quality within the Generics Finance function via technology tools
Liaison with executive management of Finance, Accounting, Generics and IT to share information and obtain support for solutions to supplier income changes in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Manage team of 12, with four direct reports including developmental and succession planning responsibilities
Participate in long-term IT system designs, preparing requirement documentation and UAT
Investigate and present results of ad-hoc issues and proposals to CFO, CAO, Procurement Controller and FP&A team including data analytics, results, risks/opportunities, and cross-functional business efficiencies
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
8+ years finance or accounting experience including 5+ years managerial experience
Critical Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of finance or accounting experience highly preferred
Advanced analytical skills
Ability to leverage technology to improve operating efficiencies and customer service
Project management skills
Proven success in developing and mentoring managers and associates preferably within a large team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to senior executives
Ability to meet tight critical deadlines and make judgment-based decisions under pressure
Advanced in MS Excel & Intermediate MS Access
