The Director, Actuarial Annuity Valuation is a key role within the AXA US Actuarial Hedging team. The individual in this role manages one direct report and is responsible for annuity valuation as well as deferred acquisition cost (DAC) reporting process and deliverables.

Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing DAC results and communicating to management
• Developing and implementing improvements to the DAC model in line with the AXA US Finance Moving Forward strategy to increase efficiency and delivery of key processes
• Completing SOX requirements and enhancing the SOX process where possible
• Working with key stakeholders in finance to deliver DAC inputs for the AXA US strategic plan
• Oversight, communications, and accountability of actuarial valuations

The team is responsible for the actuarial valuation function for all Annuity business and for the actuarial analyses and techniques used in determining DAC for the Annuity business. The team also provides analytical support to Retirement Savings with respect to new products and potential inforce offers, as well as providing analysis to Comptrollers.
Qualifications
Basic:

Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent
At least 5 years experience in an actuarial role
Preferred:

Experience with and proven knowledge of DAC management
Excellent excel skills with demonstratable experience in VBA programming
Experience managing a team
